Corinne is a director, educator, and arts administrator residing in the pioneer valley of Western Massachusetts. As a director Corinne has worked with numerous professional theater companies in New York City and throughout Western Massachusetts including Silverthorne Theater Company, Shakespeare and Company, New Century Theater, and Barrington Stage Company. Corinne has a strong interest in immersive and community engaged theater with a background in devising, applied theater, Theatre of the Oppressed, new play development, musical theater, theater for young audiences, and Shakespeare. As a directing fellow at UMass Amherst, Corinne developed and directed immersive adaptations of August Strindberg’s A Dream Play and Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream. Other directing credits include: The Misanthrope (UMass Amherst), HIR (Assistant Director, Shakespeare and Company), Yankee Tavern (Assistant Director, New Century Theatre), New Play Lab (UMass Amherst). Corinne has also directed work at TADA! Theater, New York University, the Player’s Theater, the Children’s Theater Company in NYC, and Skidmore College among others. She is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
As a teaching artist and educator with over 15 years of experience, Corinne has taught students from all over the world, ranging in age from 3 to 63. Corinne taught Undergraduate level courses in performance and performance theory at UMass Amherst. She has led education programs in a variety of settings including Colleges & Universities, professional regional theaters, youth theaters, prisons, mental health facilities, community centers, preschools, elementary schools, and NYC public High Schools. Corinne is the founder of Saratoga Stages youth theater in Saratoga Springs, NY. She served as the Artistic and Executive Director for the company for over six years, during which time she directed more than two dozen youth theater productions including: The Lion King, Peter Pan, Once Upon A Mattress, Wizard of Oz, and Oliver!. She is licensed by the state of Massachusetts to teach Theater (all levels) in K-8 public schools.
As the Director of Education at Barrington Stage Company, Corinne spearheaded a variety of large-scale educational programs including the nationally recognized Playwright Mentoring Project, which was the recipient of the Coming Up Taller National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. Prior to that Corinne served as the Assistant Director of Education at TADA! Youth Theater in NYC where she led DOE sponsored arts-in-edcucation training for public school educators and served as a Director/Choreographer for TADA!'s award winning education programs. Corinne currently works as a freelance teaching artist, adjunct professor, and a curriculum specialist for Southgate Education developing and editing educational guides for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows such as Moulin Rouge!, Les Miserables, Spongebob Squarepants, Miss Saigon, and Kinky Boots.
